Notice to the Public

Notice is formally given to the public not to be mislead by pronouncements posted in the internet and other medium that going directly to the Park or staying overnight in Sabang is a guarantee for the issuance of a Visitor Entry Permit to the Underground River Tour. The Park denies the existence of such a policy nor has it authorized anybody to make such commitments. These claims are inaccurate and are designed to promote private interests.

Management

WILDLIFE
The long-tailed macaques or monkeys in the wild would normally depend on the forest for food. Because of people feeding them despite being prohibited from doing so, the monkeys in the Park are now used to being fed by visitors and have the tendency to grab food from people.

In order to bring them back to their natural behaviour, we are trying our best to keep a distance between the macaques and people. It is highly advised not to bring food or plastic bags when gong to the tour as they attract and excite the monkeys who tend to be more daring than usual.

As a favor, Please do not feed or tease the monkeys, as it will affect their natural feeding habits and contributes to their aggressive behaviour that may cause personal injuries.

Tours of the Underground River are allowed only up to the specified 900 visitors a day carrying capacity.
A NO PERMIT, NO ENTRY POLICY is strictly enforced at the Park to ensure this. It is required that a Visitor Entry Permit is first secured before proceeding to the Park.
