Funding

A Trust Fund has been established for the Puerto Princesa Subterranean River National Park (PPSRNP) to ensure the sustainable financing of its conservation and management activities. All income generated from the collection of entrance and user fees is deposited into this Trust Fund, providing a dedicated and transparent source of financial support for park operations.

Disbursement of funds is strictly limited to park management purposes and is carried out in accordance with a management plan that has been approved and adopted by the Protected Area Management Board (PAMB). Through this system, the PPSRNP has been able to self-sustain its operations since 2008, demonstrating a successful model of financial sustainability that supports long-term conservation and responsible tourism management.
