Wonders of Nature

The Puerto Princesa Underground River (PPUR) is one of the few underground river systems in the world that can be easily experienced by the general public. The river is navigable for up to 4.3 kilometers and is widely regarded as the longest navigable underground river in the world, making it a truly unique natural attraction.
Visitors explore the cave aboard park-operated paddle boats, guided by trained boatmen who lead an approximately one-hour tour through the subterranean passage. During the journey, guests can admire the spectacular limestone rock formations, including stalactites and stalagmites, while observing the thousands of bats and swiftlets that inhabit the cave. Tours are conducted daily, except during periods of extreme weather, ensuring visitor safety while preserving the delicate cave ecosystem.
